White Center Neighborhood Pond

White Center has a series of wetlands that naturally filter stormwater and runoff. The wetlands provide habitat for resident and migrating waterfowl and enjoyment for residents and birdlovers. King County maintains the areas and focussed on improvements to the pond adjacent to 13th Ave SW near Steve Cox Park starting in 2011.

Work complete! The pond is much more open and filled with water. Canada geese have returned in great numbers and ducks are starting to return as well.
